    Hi,

    Just wondering what I am lacking to cause these???
    If anyone can help?
    I've quite a few bruises on the backs of me legs since starting atkins 3 weeks ago.
    I'm taking a Multivitamin everyday and I'm now on the maintenance stage cos Ive reached my goal weight.
    But I still have big blue black bruises?

    I have trouble with that sometimes, too. I can't remember what a doctor told me to take for it. I want to say lots of Vitamin C. You may want to ask this question in the vitamin forum.

      I have seen the recommendations for bruising take a multivitamin or specifically extra C. It has to do small capillaries bursting due to weightloss.

        I've been bruising more than usual only on my legs as well. About 8 small bruises on the right and about 5 on the left. This seems to be a common problem after doing a search for "bruising" on the board. My bruising began when I stopped taking the regular Centrum vitamins with Iron and switched to taking Centrum Silver (without Iron). I thought maybe it was an Iron deficiency and not getting enough through diet alone. However, the board mentions it's a Vit B12, Vit K & Vit C deficiency. The whole ruptured capillaries theory makes sense and makes me feel like it's a sign of losing weight . I take 1000mg of Vit C a day. Vit C with Rose Hips works better I hear since it's a bioflavonoid. Too bad I haven't been able to find anything in Dandr or VitaNutrient Solution about bruising. Someone mention on the board there was a section on it. Let me know if anyone can find it.
