  • How many rungs until...

    Ok…so what rung if any can I eat a whole wheat peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a glass of whole milk on? It is my favorite breakfast of all times and I am just wondering if it will ever be allowed on this wol. I think it is but then I read about natural peanut butter (have never tried it) and sprouted breads and I am not so sure.

    Well the jam/jelly should be sugar free (there are a few different ones and they're very good), and that would be the berries rung, which is rung 4, the natural peanut butter would be the nuts and seeds rung which is 3*, and the bread will be the grains rung, the highest one which is 9. the milk will be the dairy rung, during owl you should only have 5 carbs worth..but in pre-maintenance and maintenance you can have more and work it into your daily carb intake.

    Assuming you have no issues with any of these foods after you go thru OWL, yes you will be able to have it again. I eat whole grain bread now almost every day without issue. I'm not a milk drinker but have had it without issue as well.

    I actually find i love natural peanut butter now far more than regular. I find the best brand to be Adams, which they sell at Walmart.

    *i think there is also some debate whether peanuts are a legume or nut, i personally added them on the nut rung.

      Thanks! It was always the sugar free jelly but Jiff peanut butter. I may give the natural peanut butter a try once I get to that rung. I really want to try and go thru the rungs this time and make it a wol. It is nice to know I will get to have all my favs again. So what rung would a snickers bar be on...just kidding!

          Oh and I love Essensia Natural PB, you can get it at the supermarket, I get it at shaws.
          Its yummy and the ingredients are Peanuts and salt. No Added sugars or anyrthing and I thing there are some that claim to be all natural but have all kinds of added sugar.
