    happy friday friends! well, once again i am not sure where to post this but i guess it is ok here...since it does pertain to good health and atkins. it is friday. when you woke up this morning what was the first thing you thought about? did you grumble and complain about having to go to work? were you aggravated with a spouse or your kids for something simple. did you growl at the traffic and stupid drivers you encountered along the way? are you thinking about all the things you CAN"T have today or CAN"T do?

    well...call me pollyanna but....it is up to you to make this day be what you want it to be....i believe in the theory that "you get out of this life what you give"....EVERY stinking time i find myself in a slump, i remember that theory, try my best to apply it and i always have amazing results.

    what would happen if you got up, surprised your significant other with a long and loving kiss, surprised the kids with hot chocolate and a hug, SMILED at the idiot driver who is alongside you at the stop light, strolled in to the office with a cheery good morning...you KNOW what would happen. people look at you like you are CRAZY...TRY IT! it is FUN!

    today you have the rest of your life AHEAD of you! you are on a road to GREAT health. if you are not where you want to be then MAKE A PLAN. START that journey....it IS a journey. please do not wait til you get to the end of the journey to celebrate....do it all along the way. do NOT bemoan what you do NOT have....every time i would be down my mama always said "honey, count your blessings".....truly friends if you honestly sit down in a quiet place and think...your will find that your list is long. it is often so much easier to think of the things in life that are wrong, or we are so overwhelmed we forget to recognize the things that are good.....GIVE of yourself to someone else in some small way and watch to see what happens. to all my atkins friends....you are blessed in so many ways. SHARE those blessings with others....you never know how you will affect someone else's life...share your own good health and vitality, your knowledge, just share YOU and see what happens! COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!!!

    Wow, this is a wonderful post! You are so right, and it's great to see this thought expressed so well. It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day trivia, and to overlook the good fortune we already have. Thank you for an inspiring reminder!

      I so believe this, we often complain about what we dont have more than we praise God for what we do have. To me if God gave you another day to get it right and another day to be with your family, that is a blessing. If you have a place to lay your head at night and clothes to keep you warm and food to put in your belly, then you are blessed more than a lot of folks out there. I am trying to remember this on a daily basis, i too get grumpy at things that i should not get upset about, and the things i have in life, and not talking materialistic, im talking about healthy children who are happy, a good husband, I had a fantastic daddy, a loving mother. These are my blessings daily, God has given me a loving heart and a giving nature and a gentle spirit that im thankful for. And you are so right, a good attitude is catching and so is a bad attitude, so which one will you choose!!!
