  • Today's Small Victory!

    I wanted to invite everyone to share their victory they had today that didn't include pounds or measurements. Those are the traditional ways we track our progress, but what else did you notice today? It could be something about your body, your attitude, what you did or didn't eat today, something someone said to you, just anything that made you stop and think, "Hey, this Atkins thing is working!" I will share mine:

    Today I noticed my tummy wasn't jiggling as I walked. I usually feel that "Jello-like" jiggle with each step I take, but not today! I put my hand on it to be sure, no jiggle! I haven't noticed a visual difference yet, but if my jiggle is fading, something has to be happening. A small victory, but a great feeling!

    Congrats Jiggle free Courtney!

    Today is Friday and I have stayed on the diet for 5 days! Usually I go out drinking and eating on Friday, and I didn't.

    I'm starting to feel looseness in my jeans, don't know whether that is real or wishful thinking.

      Today I noticed that I feel "thinner". I look down at myself and I see myself getting smaller and I think "I really am going to lose all this weight". It's a great feeling! Last week was great because I actually tied my shoes standing up and bending forward and I don't know when the last time I could do that was. Short arms are terrible!

        Today (which was really yesterday..lol ) I put on my windsuit from the winter cause it was chilly here and it didn't kill my stomach..it has elastic in the pants Even my daughter could tell the pants were loose on my thighs and my butt area

            Well tomorrow is one full month on Atkins and unfortunately, last night was my first (and only) cheat. Pizza got me. I of course wanted to continue on the binge and eat "real" ice cream and whatever else I'd cut out. Usually that is what I would have done but after eating dinner I immediately got ahold of myself and went right back on plan. So while I am disappointed in myself for caving in the heat of the moment, I am super proud that I didn't continue down that path!!

              Today being Sunday, I was tempted to stay in bed and snooze...but I got up and did my exercise, did some flights for the flight challenge plus took doggies for a walk anyway! Now I feel ultra virtuous!
