  • Drat....or Yay?

About a month or so ago, I bought some strappy tops to wear when it got warm (the kind with the built in bras), got them for what I figured I'd be in for the summer. (FWIW - a 34 band instead of a 36 band... and a cup size smaller)

Well.... tried to wear one today - too big.

I'm now (apparently) a 30 band and probably two cups smaller (which is not a bad thing for me.... I can finally look down and see my belly)

    Anyone else have this happen?

    Restart -10/18/2009 - 204.6 lbs (UGH!!!)

    Goal 4 - 170
    Goal 5 - 160
    Goal 6 - 150
    Goal 7 - 140
    Goal 8 - 135
Goal - To zip up current pants without sucking it in-10/25/09
Goal - To need a belt/roll waistband of current pants
Goal - To wear the next size down - 11/13/09
Goal - To wear the next size down - without a muffin top!! 11/18/09
Goal - To wear 'those' jeans (ya know - the ones in the back of the closet, hidden under a winter coat)
    Day 13 - wine free/ cheat free

Yep. Bought a few shirts right before I started atkins for the summer. I already lost a bra size and it seems the vneck is too plunging now. So out they go.

Ummm...I'm a little embarassed but...I bought one of those Le Mystere Tisha bras. I paid like $60 bucks for the dumb thing, so when I lost weight and it was too big, I kept trying to wear it. The cups are molded/lined, and when I'm at home, or sometimes when we're out, my husband will dent the cup because he thinks it's funny that it's not full of boob anymore.

Ok, I don't know why I tell stories like this about myself.

So I guess yes, it's sorta happened to me.

I am on the "YAY" side. Knowing how tough it can be to find really cute things in larger sizes - especially for summer - I think you have been blessed with a second chance .

Going through the same. I have a jacket I had bought but it was too tight around the belly. I figure, nyeh, I'll lose weight and it'll fit. Now it's too big and the tags are still on it...

Hey! I may be able to return it!!

                    Re: Drat....or Yay?

perhaps we should start a thread to send our out-grown clothing to those that could use it? I wonder if there'd be any interest?

Miss Phode - you are hilarious! Have you tried those chicken cutlet thing-ies that Victoria Secret sells? I could probably get by with these tops doing that.... but I am desperately trying to reduce the size there, you know?

Howdy Ms MS! I'm still around - working my heinie off. (figuratively and literally). My homeschool enrollment has doubled in the past week - trying to get the new ones settled in.

Whatcha think about the recycling idea? (BTW .. I have a couple of really nice tops available for anyone who could wear them - only trouble is that they're 34G.... PM me if you're interested...)

                        Re: Drat....or Yay?

I've had that trouble with my bras. I started out as a 40C and now I'm about a 36B. UGH. I don't want to lose my boobs!

Phode, my bf does the same thing, pokes my bra cup to see it implode. The bad part is that my bras are so big, he has no problem sliding his pervy little hand right into the super-huge and spacious bra cup. GRR.

The killer is that I know I'm going to shrink a bit more (hopefully just in band size and NOT cup size!) so I'm waiting to buy bras. I have like, 2 that actually fit me appropriately.
