My wife started on induction a couple of weeks ago and has actually gained weight (5 lbs). Everything else seems to be right. She is getting in her 12-15 net carbs on induction veggies, drinking her 64 oz of water, keeping her carb intake to right at 20, and according to fitday, she is averaging about 1450 calories, with her BMR being at 1632. Her fat/protein/carb ratios are also good at 66/29/5 and the lypolisis strips are showing moderate to large ketosis, so something else is going on and I am trying to help her and encourage her.
Racking my brain trying to figure out what might be going on. I know that TOM is not an issue anymore, but she does take a couple of Tylenol PM before going to bed each night. Does anybody know if Tylenol PM can cause water retention and/or inhibit weight loss?
Any other suggestions on what to look for? I'm afraid that the only advise that I have been able to give her so far, is to forget the scale (at least for now) and go by her measurements to check on her progress and eventually the weight loss will follow!
