I had a pretty good induction (lost 4 pounds out of a total goal of 14.5 pounds) but after the first two weeks my weight started going up and down. I discovered that splenda and diet pop cause pretty bad cravings for me so I went cold turkey (day 7 of "detox" - I still miss them...). Then I hit TOM and all **** broke loose. Now my weight is back down a little bit – not to my lowest on Atkins but going in the right direction. (I am also through TOM now and I am always thinner that first week – its so hard to tell what is real…) I am still in basically an extended induction after my gains – I have incorporated a little more dairy and a little more veggies but I have held off moving to nuts/seeds. I am eating 30-35 carbs and I am not sure if I should try moving up to nuts/seeds or wait till I get my weight back to my low point. Which is the better way to go? If I start going back up again I am going to freak out!

Re: should I stay or should I go? moving up rungs
If you are eating 30-35g carbs per day and have incorporated more dairy, I'd say you are already in OWL.
Did you add the extra veggies you want? If you are happy with those you could stay as you are until your weight is back to where you were.
Don't rush OWL. It takes time to find which foods are triggers for you, but it's important for future maintenance. Try to take it slowly and enjoy each addition as it comes.
Don't raise the carbs until you establish that you are still losing. Before and after:
