its been awhile since i posted but i wanted to share my experiences considering that its been an interesting month. first off im at 171 lbs. my target goal is 160 (at this point im considering going to 150) i started the last week of january at 220 lbs. this is my third attempt at akins and its been the most productive of them ALL!!!
to be honest, at this point its more mental than physical now. its all about patience and not about what i eat, although i do take care of what i ingest, my body is slowing down in the weight loss process. the biggest lesson i have learned and wanted to share with you guys is this; what got me through all this was not just the food, but my mental health. in the past if i didnt lose weight for lets say...3 weeks i would get depressed and quit. this time around and thanks to all of you here in this board, instead of depressed i got curious and patient, and that in itself was the ingredient that was missing from my diet...patience!
i have 11 lbs to go now and for the most part i have put one of the most painful and debilitating aspects of my life to rest. my self image was so destroyed by my weight and other factors that at one point i was at 242 lbs!
so if you feel down and you can not see any results, please remember to include patience in your daily regimen. its good for you, and best of all it has 0 carbs
so have as much as you want!!!
