    Would it be a good idea to have a spoonful as a treat during Induction?
    Start Date: 3/11/2010

    No. Buy heavy whipping cream and make your own whipped cream instead.

    It's cheaper, it tastes amazing, and it has no artifical ingredients.

        Good for you! And really once you have real whipped cream, you won't want the fake stuff ever again! I used to eat cool whip when I "thought" I was doing Atkins--before I realized that you have to read the ingredients list to know if a food is legal or not. Fresh whipped cream is an awesome treat. You can add cocoa too, and make it chocolate-y. Just make sure you don't go over your daily allowance for heavy cream, and count the carbs in your totals for the cream (and cocoa if you use it).

            If you want a clean induction use stevia to sweeten it. You'll find it at your health food store.
