Will hurt anything, or disorder the diet?

Re: Decision: No Veggies and Cheese

If you dont eat your vegies then you are not doing the plan. Atkins is about getting healthy. Not eating Veggies is not healthy. Cheese on the other hand is not a requirement of the diet and many do with out it.

      Why do you ask?

Yes. You need your veggies for a lot of reasons. The truth of the matter is, veggies are a main part of Atkins. If you're not eating your veggies you're not doing Atkins. As you probably already know, a good source of vitaimins and minerals your body needs comes from veggies, not to forget to mention the idea of providing needed fiber to help eliminate waste from your body. So, if you're going to give your body a fresh start in losing weight, don't do without veggies.

Cheese on the other hand is different, depending on your allergies and intolerance to dairy. It's a matter of your body's ability to process and break down the molecules. Some veggies even have vitamin E, D (that comes from milk), so there's another reason to eat your veggies.

Re: Decision: No Veggies and Cheese

we just finished up a veggie challenge to make sure we were getting enough veggies and several of our members had losses and even broke stalls by upping their veggie intake.
don't cheat yourself! eat veggies! and as was pointed out, if you're not eating them, your not eating according to the book.
