    Hi everyone,

    this morning I started with my Atkins, and I would like to comment how I am and if you guys can give me a pice od advise. I am a spanish boy, 20 years old, 1,71 height and 77 Kg. My first goal is 70 Kg and in my first week I don't wanna eat any vegetables, just meat and "fat". If I only eat in my first week eggs, meat, butter, mayonnaise and some cheesse, will it be good for my loosing weight? and whot about sausage? what kind of sausage is low in CH? Is a good idea if I only do 3 meals per day?

    Why is this? It won't mean you lose more weight!! The requirements of induction include 3 cups of vegetables from the allowed list of foods, so by not eating veggies you will not be following the plan!!

    In fact you might find by not getting your veggies in you might experience constipation or diarrhea which will be no fun at all.

    I dont know what kinds of sausage in Spain would be acceptable, you need to find out exactly what is in them to be certain. If they contain no sugar or starches then they would be fine.

    3 meals a day is OK if that is all you need to eat to satisfy your hunger, but you can have snacks between if you need them.

      I just don't wanna eat any vegetables in my first week because I want to eliminate from my body all the CH, and I my second week I'll start to eating some vegetables. Today I'he gone to buy my acetone test and when should I notice that my levels of ketons are increasing??

          Warm welcome to you Elmequia!

          You're better advised to stick to the plan as it was intended... i.e. 3 cups salad during induction (or two cups salad veggies and 1 cup other veggies on the acceptable list). Leaving them out won't do you any good at all. You need the fibre and the vitamins and minerals and you definitely won't lose any faster without them. There's no necessity to "clear out" the carbs... your body will sort itself out by going into ketosis when your carbs are reduced, but you don't want to overdo it. Atkins is a "controlled carb" way of eating not a "no-carb" one.

            Please start the program eating the right way.. You need to have the veggies to help you go to the bathroom and move things out of your body...

              NONONO, to refuse vegetables is a VERY bad idea. Vegetables are made of totally different type of carbs, not pure refined carbs as sugar or candy. They are some kind of Tuff - To- Digest carbs but they have tons of vitamins and fibers you body really needs. This is TOTALLY not related to so-called "BAD CARBS".. so you are not doing your body a favor to eliminate vegetables from your food. More..... vegetables mixed with protein and fat are going to remove more non-digested vaste from your body, which will help you to purify your organizm from all the CRAP you have accumulate during your lifetime.

                If I can add my bit of salt...If you don't have your vegies, I can almost garantee you will have induction flu...feel tired and sick...You need those vegies...don't worry...the weight WILL come off...If you want to speed things up, increase your exercise...Good luck!

                  OK ladies, thank u very much, so tomorrow i'm gonna eat some veggies . And all of you are right, I have some problems for going to the badroom XD, so.... veggies in my diet

                    Don't forget to drink your water and exercise...that'll help with the veggies to go to the bathroom
