    good morning friends in atkins land! ok...here i am again. call me the atkins cheerleader. first of all, i wanna say AGAIN that you guys here, with all your experience, information and encouragement are the absolute best! i have gotten more good information here even than from my doctor!

    second, if you are struggling, have hard days, fight the cravings, feel like you are just not making it......PLEASE HANG IN THERE!!!!!! i am the world's biggest diet wimp. i have fought weight forever. i have been slim and i have been heavy and everywhere inbetween. thru all my experiences i have found ONE and ONLY ONE plan that works for me and THIS IS IT!!!!!

    i have never been healthier in my life. i have been 7 pound lighter, but never healthier. NOW i EXERCISE on a daily basis. NOW i DRINK WATER on a daily basis. NOW i FEED MYSELF HEALTHY FOOD on a daily basis....it has become MY HABIT! hear that miss jess????? yeah, i am becoming a LIFESTYLE GIRL!

    and TODAY....i broke the 160 barrier and weighed in at.....DRUM ROLL!!!.....158! i hope to goodness never to see 160+ again. i was doubtful but here i am....i am SUCCEEDING where i never thought i could!

    i just wanted to share my excitement today about this because i want ALL OF YOU to know that if someone like ME can do this, SO CAN YOU!!!!!!!!! nothing worth having really comes easily now does it? but it will BECOME easy with time. with time it becomes your LIFESTYLE....i PROMISE! traveling this road to good health with all of you is really exciting!

    This is such a great post and I'm SO PROUD and happy for you!!!

    You know, I feel exactly the same way as you. This IS the only WOE that works for me and this time around it IS a lifestyle change. When I did Atkins the very first time and reached my goal, the entire time I planned to go back to my old way of eating and just try not to eat as much. I got pg shortly after reaching goal so I never did get to test that theory out but I know it wouldn't have worked.

    This time I really and truly have no desire for sugar, there are so many delicious low carb and sugar free desserts out there - why would I eat something that is poison to me??

    I was so impatient and feeling cheated before about not getting to eat things and that feeling lasted the entire journey. This time, I've had a couple of moments of feeling "deprived" but I am doing so much better trying new things, creating new dishes and really branching out that I am not feeling deprived in the least this go around.

    I am in this for good and cannot believe how good I feel and look!!!

      MS I am so proud of you! You are an ATKINS POSTERCHILD! You eat right, drink your water, and you have been kicking butt in the exercise department! I admire and respect your progress, I think you're doing a fabulous job. Congrats on 158!!!

        WOOHOO this is EXCELLENT news, MS! I remember not too long ago, you were sooo impatient and now the weight is just flying off of you. If you stick with the plan, your body will eventually 'give in', just as you are seeing now. YAY!
