  • Need Encourgment!!

    Hi everyone! I am on day 23 still doinginduction, drinking lots of water and walking my Gazel for 30 min. day. But my weight loss seems to have stalled. I am at a loss of 12 pounds. I love this diet and I feel great so I am not stoping but I dont want to be at a stall as I have so much to loose. Any suggestions? Thanks

    I'll ask the obvious, are you measuring? You are exercising 30 minutes a day, right? Is this the first time (or first time in a long time)? If so then you are gaining muscle, so the evil metal scale won't budge, but you are probably thinning more than you think. Are your clothes looser?

    I dropped 2 waist sizes and only lost 4 pounds at one point along this journey of mine. All that matters is how you look, nobody knows what numbers are on that little monster unless you tell them.

    Disclaimer: I am a scale slave myself, but an informed scale slave.

      I hit a period of 2 weeks or so where I didn't lose an ounce. I didn't gain it back, I just didn't lose. I do weigh everyday, but mostly because my body is incredibly sensitive to what I eat, and at first finding the right balance took a bit. Any sort of artificial sugars stop me dead in my tracks. My shredded cheese had starch in it. My bacon (which I had only rarely anyway) had added sugars etc. Thanks to reading these boards, watching my weight loss from day to day, I figured out what worked and what didn't. 6 days is nothing to worry about at all. If you hit a month with no inches lost and no weight loss then I'd start worrying.

      In the meantime, look at everything you're eating. Are ALL the ingredients acceptable? I know others here have been bitten by foods they honestly thought were aceptable <raises hand>.

        Hi! We have the same sw and pretty much have lost the same so far! I moved to OWL following my 14 day induction and have lost 3lbs on that. Maybe it might be worth thinking about? I've stalled for the past two weeks, but I did loose in total 12" during this stall. So I'm just going to wait it out!

        Don't give up, you'll start loosing soon.

          hey!!! look at it like this...you lost 4 pounds a week!!! wowie wow wow...have you EVER done that before? keep doing what you are doing...drinking, exercise, making good food choices and i GUARANTEE you will see results....you are just playing catch up i bet...and dontcha feel good? hang in there...you WILL succeed!

            Try moving to OWL. For a lot of people just adding more veggies will jump start things.

                I'd suggest measuring and moving to OWL. Sounds like you are feeling great and if you are losing inches, then you aren't really stalled. I understand the frustration of not losing pounds as fast as we'd like...

                Keep going - don't give up on yourself. Get involved here with others, make friends, join challenges and before you know it, the scale will show a loss. Trying to stay positive and enjoying the journey is very important to keeping motivation to stay focused!!

                  A big Thank you to all you who are willing to encougrage its what keeps me going. Yes I did messure and its not showing a big differnce but I know my clothes are fitting differnt so I know somthing good is going on, maybe I messured wrong who knows. anyway I think I will try to read my lables real good this week then begin to add more vegies. Can a person stall becasue they arent getting enough carbs in a day? just wondering becasue somtimes I tend to go overboard
