Hey, don't sweat it, 12 extra carbs ain't that bad in the scheme of things. At least you caught it! Good luck starting over, I know it gets frustrating. Screwed up royally? Nah, just a little set back.

You know those voice GPS units in cars nowadays? You can learn alot from them. For instance, when you pass your exit up - the GPS does tell you to go home and start again. Instead it tells you to make the next available U-Turn and continue on your way. That advice can be applied to alot of things if you think about it. If you mess up, it's not the end of the world. You don't "have" to go back home and start again. Just understand that a mistake was made, do what you need to correct it, and continue on the proper course.
12g carbohydrates is not that big of a deal in the scheme of things when you take your weight loss week by week. Just eat two less carbohydrates for the next half-dozen days and you'll be right back on track; no harm no foul.
Understand the mistake, correct it, and continue. (U-Turn)

Atkins has us count carbs on some things that don't list carbs on the label. For example, things like eggs and cheese - even if the label says 0, we are counting 1 carb each. I have customized everything on Fitday to reflect this so I don't have to consciously screw with it all of the time.

Yah, that's why I was confused! I have a lot of customized foods on my account. I love Fitday...it's amazing when you're trying to figure out a menu for an upcoming day, and you add in something with fiber or something with fat, how the percentages all change...I think it's such a great tool.
Fitday allows you to change the volume of what you're having too...for instance, you can put in that you had a strip of green pepper, rather than portions of a cup chopped.
I know there are people who don't like it, and think it's obsessive, but for me it's a good obsession!

                  Re: Carbs Carbs Carbs!!!!!!!!!!!

                  You are very welcome!

Morning Glory is right - once you get things customized on Fitday, it is an awesome tool. I, too, love plugging in potential meals to see how the calories and percentages come out. Then I can change things around to better suit what I am looking far at any given time.

I went through every single thing in my cabinet and refrigerator for stuff that I eat, and entered the info from every label. Everytime I bring home something new, I enter the label info into Fitday. It is so much easier to use once you have done this. It stressed me out at first, but it gets easier with practice and I actually find it fun now.

                    Ok...now I'm confused

When I put 3 large eggs scrambled into my FitDay it told me it was 4 carbs....yet on the carton it says 0.

So, then FitDay is right and is counting the carbs in eggs....correct? OR Do we have to program every label from food we eat into FitDay to get the right count?

I have never used the Fitday information for eggs, so I don't know what it says. I thought I heard someone say that Fitday adds in stuff like milk when you use their info for scrambled eggs, but I am not sure about that. I use Eggland's Best Eggs and entered their label info into Fitday as a custom food. Eggland's Best lists 0 carbs on their label, but I entered 1 carb when I entered the info onto Fitday because Atkins has us count a carb per egg.

I guess you really don't have to program every label, but I think it would just have to be more accurate to do so. I prefer to have as much custom as I can. After I entered every label of things I use from my kitchen I sat down with my big book of carb counts, looking for things and entering the information the way I wanted it. I've done lots of veggies this way. On meat that I buy, if the nutrition info is on the label, I will enter it into Fitday. Not only is it more accurate, but it really is easier in the long run. Sometimes when you try to find something on Fitday that seems like it would be rather easy to find, it will come up with a lot of stuff to wade through to find exactly what I want. So, I just come up with my own description of something and put it in custom foods. Easy!
