When Dr. Atkins died and the Atkins Center (his medical practice) was dissolved by Atkins Nutritionals, atkins.com had a list of doctors to whom his patients could have their medical records transferred. I don't know if that page is still on their site.~Megs~

Most of the ones I've run across support it, or don't really care one way or the other. NYC docs are pretty savvy, thank goodness. Nearly none will recommend it, even if they support it. I go to Jay Bauman in the East 90s. He's a baby doctor but also does basic gynecology.28 yo F/5'3
