  • "Science of Appetite" Next Time Mag. Worth a Look

I subscribe to Time magazine and every week I get a preview of the next weeks main cover story. The main cover story is "The Science of Appetite" and it is well worth the read. There are several "diet" related articles included in the issue. Now, Time doesn't glorify Atkins but knowing what I know from Dr. Atkins book I am sitting here reading the articles saying to myself "More proof that Dr. Atkins was right on the money!!!"
"A New Diet Equation" is another article in this upcoming issue and interestingly it tells of Apple Shaped people losing more weight on low-carb diets then on low fat and that the Apple Shaped people in this study gained back some of the weight lost from low-fat diets but gained none of the weight lost from the low-carb diet!
So, all I can say is the issue seems quite interesting and I recommend it. I would copy and post it here but I don't think its allowed. I'm going to put the link in here but I don't know if everyone can access it or if it is restricted to subscribers.....
Let me know if the link works/and what you think of the articles if you read them

Thanks for posting that link, Patti.
It was an interesting read though way above my head in parts!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Maybe that's one reason why men seem to lose weight easier on Atkins, most overweight men are "apple-shaped" while most overweight women are "pear-shaped".

        Great article!

That's what I love about this forum, we share our knowledge, our findings, our treasures. Collectively we are all so much wiser and well-off because of it.
