  • Atkins Meals Delivered to Home

Has anyone tried Pure Foods low carb meals delievered to your home? You can choose either a 20 g or 40 g net carb plan. I was just curious if anyone tried this and what everyone thought of it. It costs $34.95 per day. You are able to edit the menu to pick foods you like and are able to adjust the carb count. They also show sample pictures, recipe and nutritional values for each meal. You see these extra features after you sign up for a free account. This is the same company that used to be Atkins at Home which was listed on Dr Atkins website before he died. Here's the link:

Interesting concept if you have that kind of money. I don't spend near $34.95 a day for food now, but I can understand the attraction to it if you have lots of money and hate to cook.

I don't enjoy cooking at all, and that was one of the reasons I tried NutriSystem before I found my way back to Atkins. NutriSystem only averaged about $11.00 per day plus you provided perishables, but their food was full of perservatives and was actually quite gross and disgusting. This site stresses that the food is fresh and contains no perservatives, so I am guessing that is what is behind the astronomical cost.

I guess I say, to each his own... go with whatever works for you. Part of my success so far and the key to continued success for me is changing my ways and learning to provide the meals I need myself.

Plus, I don't even have room in my refrigerator for last night's leftovers, much less room for the next 10 days worth of already prepared food.

Good luck with it if you decide to go for it!

I think it is too expensive to use on a regular basis but was curious if the food tasted any good. If it was cheaper I would have definitely tried it. I was suprised to see that this company still existed.

I was looking at the menus and their "under 20 carb", i.e. induction menus have unacceptable ingredients such as croutons and fruit.

I noticed this as well..almost every days menu has an unacceptable food for induction, ie nuts berries potatos (!). The 'peach breakfast pudding' has flour as an ingredient as well. I'd be leary of what you are getting...I'd go thru all the ingredients lists first.

That is pretty pricey....Over a $1000 for 30 days.. But if I had that kind of money I might would try it if the stuff was legal.. I hate figuring out what to eat and planning....
