  • aaugh!

People, I am on day 8 of a clean induction and the weight loss is minimal 2-3 lbs i will not weigh anymore for awhile but i am feeling so down. I need to lose some weight! I've been exercising and not cheaating. Ifeel very very down. My husband has told me I am no longer attractive because of my weight and even though I know he's a horse's a-- for having that attitude, I still feel just awful. I am not trying to lose the weight because of him, but in spite of him. Why haven't I lost more weight?

My advice is to keep at it.. I am a slow loser...but its coming off and I don't feel deprived or hungry.. You can do it! Others will be on soon to boost you even more (I am in a down mood this week so I am not inspirational)

          Re: aaugh!

The average weight lost on induction is 10% of what you need to lose, so if you are aiming to lose around 30 lbs, then 3lbs would be 10% of that!

don't give up..I too only had a small amount to lose and though it was slow, I did lose, it. I have stayed with this way of eating for more than 3+ years now and eat healthier than I ever have, and would never go back!

            Re: aaugh!

Stick with it, feelinunlovely! You're doing great. A 3lb loss is great and on par with what one should be losing with your particular stats.

However, it could never hurt to post your menu in the "Review My Menu" forum where they may be able to find things that you could do to rev up your weight loss. Keep in mind that old saying "Rome wasn't built in a day"...likewise the weight wasn't put on in a day and you can't expect it to come off that fast. No such thing as a miracle diet, Atkins is a way of life and it's something that requires time and dedication to pay off.

            Best of luck!
