It Fits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey all you friends out there in atkins-land!!! well......the dress arrived today. man i felt like i was gonna puke before i tried it on. (sorry julie!) my son brought it in my office and i just sat there holding the box on my lap. would all this hard work pay off?
first of all, let me tell you that it is a VERY straight up and down cut. it looks like a strapless dress with sheer straps. the "underdress is VERY fitted. it has very fitted layers all the way down with beading at the bottom of each layer. it is a cross between deep butter and champagne. it looks like a very tall wedding cake!
so...i went in the bedroom and LOCKED THE DOOR. i hooked and zipped myself into the famous longline bra thingy.....i took the dress from the box. it is heavier than i remembered. i unzipped it.....slowly in stepped into it....and very cautiously i pulled it up and over my shoulders....holding my breath i zipped it up the back.
THE TOP IS TOO BIG!!!!! but from the fitted part all the way down it fits like a DREAM!!!! getting the top part tailored will be really easy (yea, i lost a lot of THAT too!) gonna find myself a little gold pair of slingback pumps and some crystally earrings and i am good to go.
meanwhile, the family is waiting by the bedroom door, ears to the door, waiting with baited breath...will it? won't it? will mom have a hissy fit or will all be right with the world? the best news is that the search is OVER...this girl HATES to shop.
NOW i just need to hide it from ernie til the big day. yee-ha! finding the perfect dress that FITS is reason #48978476936 that anyone who wants to find their old bod NEEDS TO DO ATKINS!!!! thanks doc!
