  • Excersise?

    I have been on Atkins now for 2 weeks, and I have lost about 3 pounds maybe 4. It seems that although previously when I was doing atkins I would loose 15 pounds within 3 weeks, this time it is not really happening and I am becoming more and more frustrated. I have a family wedding to go to in August and I must loose some weight until then. Should I do more excersise? Any suggestions?

    hi there. first off are you doing more exercising this time around as opposed to your previous atkins experience?

    take a step back and look at everything you do and everything you are eating. take all elements into consideration. if you feel comfortable, post what you are eating here in the message board. as far as exercise is concerned, if i got on my treadmill (i have one) i would burn out after 10 minutes on it. However if i took a walk to the mall (one mile distance) it wouldnt phase me a bit. i incorporated walking in my regimen because i was so heavy that i knew that i would damage my knees if i just started running. preety soon i stopped driving my car and walked or took the bus everywhere i went. as far as food is concerned. i was somewhat careful. i really counted my carbs during the first two months, then as i moved up a rung, i gradually added more vegetables to increase my carb intake. preety soon, i found myself not counting them and just eating more vegetables, with poultry and beef. i think it would be helpful for you to write down what you are eating everyday. do you have a fitday account?
