  • My hardest day yet...

I posted in my journal but am hoping I can get some answers here.

So today is Wednesday the 27th of June and it is not a very good day. I woke up at 425 am and I did drag myself out of the bed and went for the 3 mile walk/run routine. Only this time I walked much more than I ran. My legs are hurting and I just dont seem to be in the best of moodes. I think my TOM is coming up and I seem to have hit a platoe on my losing. I dont know if I am just holding in too much water or not doing something right or what. Just turning out to be a disappointing day today.

The walk took me 48 minutes yesterday and I did it in 43 today. I keep going over in my head what I could have done wrong.....I took a bite of cornbread on Sunday...I ate that fried taco on Monday....Can these LITTLE things through me back that much.

I keep reading where people lose over 10-15 pounds and even some in the 20's during induction. I only lost 7 in 2 weeks. And now I have stopped. Do I need to do this again.

Please help I don't want to just give up
    Thanks Julie

Induction flu can really get you down and make you feel sluggish and sore. With your little cheats here and there, you are probably dealing with it over and over again! You simply must stay on track with this WOE! Dr Atkins says clearly that cheating is the kiss of failure on this WOE! Believe it!

You can expect to lose 10 -15% of your total loss during the first two weeks of Induction. Looking at your goal, I'd say you went above and beyond that! Think of what you could do if you play by the rules!

Get back on track and do Atkins as it is meant to be done. No one ever accomplished anything by giving up.

Hi, I think 7lbs was great. Remember if you take a bite here and there it sets you back 2 or 3 days. Keep on keeping and you will do great. I have 2 reread the book every so often and i always find something i forgot. Best of luck.

If you think your TOM is coming, that in itself will affect your weight. I always go up before TOM, and then it leaves. TOM affects my mood, too.

Yes, indeed! Paula is soooo right. Those little cheats can most definitely affect you. Don't do it!

She is also right about your loss so far. This is not a race. I had more to lose than you when I started, and I lost 7 pounds during my Induction. I have done fine since then. You just have to give it time and try not to panic.

If you can remain cheat-free, this WOE gets easier and easier - I promise!

        Good Luck!

Ditto what Mitzie and the others say.
You can expect to lose 5% to 10% of the weight you need to lose, during the induction phase, so it seems to me you're doing fine.
Now's the time to hang in there!

Thank you all for the positive push. I guess if I look at it from the outside it does look okay. I just need to keep moving forward and not look back. It is all about staying on track and eventually it WILL be done.

Thank you all again for helping me get through yesterday. )
            today is a better day.

              HAPPY YOU MADE IT!

And, I wanted to note that your getting up and doing that exercise even though you didn't want to just proves that you ARE going to win. YOU WILL DO THIS! WHats the rush anyway? I only lost 7 lbs on my first 3 weeks. OWL is coming up and I can't wait! The less we have to lose the slow it comes off. We're in this together!
