  • Carb Nightmares!

    hey everyone!
i got some weird stuff goin on
    namely just weird dreams!
    CARB DREAMS!!!
    hahaha
    isn't this funny?

i'm in my third week of extended induction, and i've been great throughout the entire process of changing the way i eat, i haven't cheated once no carbs, sugar (that i know of, cause some stuff is iffy), or caffeine! i feel very proud and i don't crave carbs during my normal awake life or anything. i just seem to be ignoring them nowadays. i have terrific control over what i eat, and i have this place and atkins to thank for that.

BUT, i've been having the weirdest dreams!! is it a subconscious thing?
like last night i dreamt that i was in a french castle, and it was the 18th century and i was just GORGING on cakes, chocolates, potatoe chips, and pretty much EVERYTHING i don't eat anymore. and in my dream, i could hear myself telling me to STOP and not eat this because i couldn't do that! and i had this feeling of ruining the great progress i had so far!

    it was a weird dream!

and then i dreamt that i was in a mexican bakery eating tons of mexican desserts and cookies and cakes and stuff, and i had that same sick-to-my-stomach feeling that i was ruining this again! haha
    sooooo weird!

needless to say, i'm VERY relieved when i wake up to realize that i hadn't actually done any of that. wow.

does or has anyone else had totally weird CARB NIGHTMARES!?!

I've done it. I woke up so angry with myself until I realized it was just a dream.

I haven't had any carb dreams yet, but at least you can dream without having to count the carbs...unless you wake up and find you have eaten your pillow. I am not sure how many carbs that would be.

I think it's just your subconscious adjusting to your new way of life. If you're resisting it in your dreams, it's a good sign!

          Congratulations on your great start!

LOL --- nope can't say I've ever had carb nightmares. Had smoking nightmares when I quit a few years back. They are weird. It's freaky how your brain processes stuff while you are asleep. So funny. But it is a relief when you wake up. Lotsa luv to ya.

                  Re: Carb Nightmares!

This is weird because last night I had a dream about being at a a tea party. There wasn't any tea but there were huge platters of scones, tea sandwiches, pastries and a huge (I mean the size of a car tire) round of shortbread.

Anyhow....just as long as it's a dream, you'll be fine.

Well said lindseyd. I too hadn\'t gottn any such nightmare as yet.

                    you said it.

Whenever I have a bad day I get some sort of nightmare kind of thing about it. Its mental stuff. I get up and all is gone, normally I don\'t remember about them after I get up. And thats a big relief.

I keep dreaming I've cheated, and wake up feeling so angry and disappointed with myself. Still, I guess it's keeping me on the straight and narrow!
