Hey does anyone here know what the carb-count on Sugar free Caramel Frappicinos are?? I've been doing Atkins for a 5 months now so I am allowing myself to have just one treat a week, which in this case I got a one of the new sugar-free caramel Frap's....But I have no clue what the carb-count is for them and the girl that worked there had no idea either!!

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
Hey Brittany, I looked on their website, but none of their items are listed as sugar free. I guess they have not updated it. None of the Starbucks where I live in VA have sugar free drinks. I would love to know what you find out.
(The lite - not SF - caramel frappucino has 30 grams of carbs.)cheri

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
Can you ifnd a head office contact email ad for them? If so email them and ask for the nutrition info. It will serve as a reminder to them to update not only their website but their staff!!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
The only Starbucks that I have found to be low carb is the Americano. It is basically the only unsweetened coffee. I have had that before on ice with 1 shot of sugar free flavoring and some cream but everything else there is loaded with carbs. I highly doubt that your new drink is low carb even though it is sugar free. I hope I'm wrong though.Michele SW250/CW 226/GW150 F, 38, 5'6"

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
Yeah I made the mistake of letting a friend drag me to Starbucks last week. I asked them if they had anything low-carb and the girl looked clueless. She says "We have low fat." And I said, "Its not fat I care about, more like sugar." So she tells me they have sugar free syrups they can make it with. I think it was Frappacino I had. But it made me sick almost instantly, so I do NOT think it was low-carb at all... My stomach hurt so bad and I had to run to the potty! (sorry for TMI!) Yeah, won't be doing Starbucks anytime again soon.Re-Start Date: June 1, 2009

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
Hello! I work at Starbucks and there are absolutely no sugar free frappuccinos! There are sugar free syrups that you can get in your coffee which I have figured to be about 1 carb per drink serving, ie there are 15 milligrams of splenda in a tablespoon which is about 3 pumps and there is one gram of splenda in a packet which we count as one carb, so if I get up to six pumps(an iced venti amount of pumps) I count it as one. I imagine this is a conservative estimate but I feel safe with it. I work there about 30 hours a week so I have spent a lot of time thinking about this! Please keep in mind, though, that Starbucks coffee contains carbs (as do other brands). I count 1 carb per 8 ounces of coffee and it might be more like 1 to 6. I usually drink water but when I do get a drink (rarely) it is usually a grande iced coffee with sugar free caramel and sugar free vanilla and 1 ounce(2 tablespoons) of heavy cream. You will have to ask for it and also ask to measure it with a shot glass from the espresso machine which holds one ounce. I count this drink as 4 carbs. It is the absolute saffest drink I have found and it is heavenly! I sometimes also get the iced black tea, no syrup, 1 splenda. Beware the new iced white tea it contains sugar!
All this said...they absolutely have the nutrition info in the store, tell them to look in the beverage resource manual! The ino is also on the web site. Also, when you do look at the iced tea and coffee the high carb counts are because the standard recipe includes a sweetening syrup.
I wish people would just get it! I don't mean this in a judgemental way, I mean it in more of a sad way, but so many women come in and get fat free mochas and they are really really overweight! Sometimes it is all I can do to not say that it is the sugar in the mocha that is making them fat! I amke drinks like that all day long and it is pointles, don't these people see that it is not helping, that they need to try something else!I asked them if they had anything low-carb and the girl looked clueless. She says "We have low fat." And I said, "Its not fat I care about, more like sugar."
Alot of customers notice my weight loss and when they bring it up I take the oppurtunity to explain Atkins and why it is the best possible way to loose weight and such a wonderful thing to do for your body!
I hope this rambling helped somebody out!

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
OMG musical. What great information that was. Wouldn't you think the corporation would be more low-carb savvy by now? I keep hoping so! I really love the chai latte's, haven't had one in a very, very, very long time!

Re: Sugar-Free Starbucks?!
If you go to this site and click on the link that says "compare all beverages" it shows the nutritional info for all of them. However, I could only find one Sugar-Free one--the Cinnamon Dolce Latte with Sugar-Free Syrup (which happens to be a favorite of mine, but I only have it once in a very long while.

I guess the bottom line is either avoid it, or consume at your own risk! HTH!Missy, female
