Has anyone thought about combining Atkins and Alli? Do you think since it absorbs fat and keeps the body from completely digesting it, it would be a bad thing? I'm just curious to know your thoughts.

Re: Alli
Hi Potato,
I think if you read about Alli a little more you will see that it would not work with Atkins because of the fat in the diet. With Alli, you have to eat low-fat and if you don't...well the side effects are messy, greasy, oily, and down right
. It is just the non-prescription strength of Zenical.

Re: Alli
You don't need to put stuff like that in your body. If you do Atkins the way you're supposed to and to natural supplements then you're on your way to a thin healthy body. Oh, and you can eat delicious, decent meals while you're at it.36/F, 5'8 "FOOD IS MY DRUG OF CHOICE.

Re: Alli
I cannot imagine even wanting to try Alli, no matter what I ate. Being on Atkins would be like adding gasoline to the fire. If you are curious and just have to try it be sure to buy a big box of depends and dont ever wear white pants.

I eat ALOT of fat so I can't see how anything but marathon sprinting to the bathroom would be in my future with ALLI... I run but I am not sure I can run THAT fast ! LOL

Re: Alli
There are entirely too many success stories of those on Atkins - many of whom are posters on this message board - who do not use diet pills, fat burners, carb blockers, and energy pills for me to deem them necessary for weight loss and maintenance.Sheila, Founder of SugarFreeSheila.com

Re: Alli
In addition to what you said, Sheila, do you (or anyone out there reading this) think for ONE minute that if that stuff really worked...or didn't have nasty side effects....that there would be a SINGLE fat actor, actress, wealthy whomever...on this planet????~Joy

Re: Alli
I have to agree with everyone else. The side effects of this drug (when combined with a high fat diet/WOE, such as Atkins) are disgusting and not worth the possibility of losing a few extra pounds.
I personally don't believe any diet pills are safe, approved by the FDA or not. Frankly, the FDA approval means little to me. According to my doctor the FDA has actually approved Methamphetamine AND Cocaine for weight loss (it's in VERY rare cases and I'm not sure it's allowed anymore). Just something to think about.
