  • Scales playing up, any suggestions?

    Hi,
Just when I'm actually starting to lose some weight my batteries went funny. My husband changed them, then after that they were reading more than 11lbs less than my actual weight. Then they went above my weight and so on. I'm so frustrated now because although they are close to the weight I thought I was, they are actually slightly above that now I don't even know what my real weight is. Aaaaaaaaaarrrrgh!
I have another set (manual), but I have to use my glasses to read them. Is it possible to get scales I can plug into the wall that way, they'll always be right?
    • Start Weight = 72.6 kg / 160 lbs
    • Goal Weight = 50 kg / 110 lbs
    • Current Weight = 58 kg / 128 lbs
    • mini goal = 54 kg / 119 lbs

I have a trusty manual scale that never lets me down but yes i need to wear my glasses to read it ( wonder how much my specs weigh?)

Donna, I read that again, and I'm just giggling to myself I feel like its a waste of time because I can't even keep track of my weight. I'll what the manual scale says.

Re: Scales playing up, any suggestions?

I have written a number of posts regarding digital scales. Basically, they are ALL inaccurate. You could step on it three times in a row and get three different readings. My scale would sometimes say the same exact weight for three days in a row. Then I would get on it while holding a chair just to see if it would change. It would. Then I would get back on it without the chair and now the numbers (that were the same for three days) would finally change. I went back to my reliable mechanical scale.
