  • Enough calories?

Now, I know we are not supposed to count calories but I'm getting worried that I'm not actually getting enough calories (read about starvation mode somewhere and I sure don't want to get there).
I've only had a few days since I started on the 4th where I was fairly even with the calories I burned and those I've eaten.
Mostly I eat about half of what I burn and am between 1300 and 2000 calories a day.

I've had 2 days where I miscalculated my carbs and found out the next day, I only had around 15 carbs these days instead of 20 but for the rest I'm usually close to or at 20.

I just want to know if this is normal during induction or if I should up my calorie count.
Date to reach goal: I don't care, as long as it happens :P

you don't want your body to go into starvation mode so you have to feed it ample calories. Any easy way to do this is by using mayo and or butter, find some high calorie fatty things to have and don't skimp on the carbs too much either, you need those too.,

thanks disco, I thought it would come down to this.
I use butter whenever I think the taste works well with what I'm making, maybe I really need to use it more.
I'm still learning to calculate my carbs, hope I won't keep making these mistakes but at least too little is better than too much

Yeah, I must say that with Atkins I find my appetite really just goes away. It sometimes takes great concentration to make sure you eat enough. That's kinda nice though, I think. I'd rather be struggling to make sure I eat enough - than being in that whole overeating cycle. How about you?
