The HIGH: Let me start by saying that this diet ROCKS in terms of my sugar issues! I come from a LONG history of diabetes (dad, grandma, suncles, cousins, sister (and me during pregnancy).

I haven't touched sugar for 3 weeks now. (This is coming from a gal who used to eat 3 candy bars or sugary snacks per day).

Honestly, I think feeling full (on proteins) made all the difference in the world.

The LOW: Even though I am in Ketosis, I've only lost 4 lbs through induction (and beyond).

I am 5'9 - 156. I've never had a weight problem (until a certain medication ) and don't need to lose much. I am just annoyed that I am hardly losing at all from this diet.

I am ready to throw in the towel....so talk me out of it. I am loving my ham and eggs, sauerkraut and spare ribs, heavy cream and diet orange sodas.....and want to hang in there, but if I am worried that I only lost H20 weight during induction and that this diet may not be right for me.

    Re: Highs and Lows

4 pounds is great in anyones books!! and if you only have a little to lose then its wonderful!

you can expect to lose between 5-10% of what you need to lose on induction so if you have less that 40 pounds to lose, you're right on track!

knock out the orange sodas and you may see some difference! water water water!
