  • 10 Pound weight gain

    Morning,
    I had a very bad cheat this weekend (it involved chinese foor, beer, bread - it was bad, and from the physical effects alone I learned something, that I just can't eat sugar) and I gained back 8 pounds!!! Its been 4 days since I smartened up, but the weight hasen't budged! I confess I've only been on the treadmill once since monday, but shouldent something have happened by now??? I even gave up coffee, all I drink is water, I just don't get it..And I was doing so well, I was down to 202 Lbs. I am so dissapointed in myself.

    We all have set backs. It will take time get back on the treadmill and drink tons of water, it will happen the important thing is dont give up on yourself.

      It's just so frustrating - I was so proud of myself, so committed....Oh well. Lesson learned I guess. I'm starting to worry that losing it will be even harder now...

        And to anyone thats thinking of reaching for one of those "forbidden foods" - It's NOT worth it.

          Ok, Maeg. Take how you are feeling right now and REMEMBER it. Put a positive spin on this mishap by learning how your body reacts and how you feel......Now, get back up on that low carb horse and don't let this setback derail you. You CAN do this. We all stumble and understand how you feel. It stinks, but you know the plan works so drink a ton of water, exercise, and look forward to your success.

            Maeg, I had a binge over a month ago and put on 9 lbs. Took almost a month to get it back off and I've had to exercise like mad and watch every bite I put into my mouth.

            When we return to the bad eating behaviours that got us fat to begin with, then we are GOING to get fat again. Be glad we recognized it and got turned around quick before even MORE damage was done.

                Yup! Yup! and yup! They're right! Get back up there and dust yourself off and get to it! You can do it! It is soooo not worth it to cheat! see, you learned that lesson and you won't do it again! right? It will get easier! Also maybe the TOTM (time of the month) has something to do with it too! Hang in there and keep coming back! It will come off but it is harder the more you cheat! I did it too and was quite sorry! so frustratin when it takes so long to see results!
