    is it safe to eat pork chops in freezer since May?

    I have some frozen pork chops that i froze this past may. I defrosted them and they are in the frdge now, they look fine , but the label says not to sell after may3rd.... but they have been frozen. what should i do eat them or throw them out??

    I'd say it depends if you froze them before the sell by date, or after. If before, they'd probably be ok... if after, they could have been iffy before you froze them so I wouldn't take the chance.

        i froze them as soon as i bought them in may. i defrosted them and have them in the refrigerator for 2 days now since I didn't know wheather i should eat them. They are still pink and look okay. Do you think i should throw them out or eat them?

            as long as they do or dont Jen? lol... id be scared if they smelt!!

            i'd say they'd be just fine if you froze them before the use by date!

                  well.. this coming from a meat cutter we deal with these questions ALL the time.. and ya.. basicly you can freeze something that has NEVER been frozen before for about 3 MONTHS and it will still be good. . it just might lose a little flavor to it that is it.. but they are not bad by any means if you have kept them frozen .
