    Re: Fitday

People will generally use fitday after there induction just to make sure everything is on track, its handy to get your percentages right and to also count the carbs that you are eating, as its not just about veggies having carbs, other things do too!

If you find it difficult dont use it, if you stall out and arent losing for a few weeks it could be handy to check on things

Now that I am in OWL I am finding it more and more necessary to use fitday. I am glad I used it during induction because when it got time for me to really watch my percentages, I did so with ease. You do what you want, we just share whats working for us. Best of loss to you!!

        Re: Fitday

When I was on induction I used it to keep track of my carb intake and it also calculated my fiber intake since that is subtracted from the carb counts. I had a variety of veggies and didn't know how many carbs would be in a 1/2 cup of green beans versus brocolli. I think that it would not be confusing, but you never know. I've had great success.

some people dont have problems ignoring percentages, but the majority of the time we recommend it people ARE having problems and thats why we get them to check out percentages...

Dr A does ask you to remember the percentages as a guideline, its important that we are eating enough fat

            Re: Fitday

I did my first 10 months or so of induction by using the carb counter in DANDR and adding the numbersup on paper to keep under 20 net carbs.

When I joined this board and discovered fitday.com I entered several recent days menus and found to my amazement that my ratios of fat/protein/carbs were about the 65/30/5 percentages.

So I agree you CAN do induction without using one of the many programmes around, but fitday is free and I found it useful and easy after the first few weeks or so.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
