  • Holy Crap!

Ok, I'm back again already. As recommended by many posters, I decided to try out Fitday and plugged in my meals for the day.

Now, with the exception of one quasi-acceptable snack, I thought I did ok today. I did not, at any point, eat until stuffed. I drank *tons* of water.

    Here's what I ate:

Breakfast: 1 cup scrambled eggs, 3 slices bacon

    Snack: 3 slices bacon

Lunch: 1 hamburger patty w/ 1 slice swiss cheese & 1 tbs mayo, 1 cup lettuce salad w/ 1/4 cup mixed "other veggies" on top

Dinner: 1 cup tuna (canned in water) w/ 2 tbs mayo & 1 cup lettuce salad (very rushed, I normally eat a better meal than that)

Snack at movie theater - 2 beef hotdogs

2 tbs milled flax seed for fiber...

and Fitday told me that was almost 2200 calories! I am shock and horrified, there's no way in **** I should be eating that much, right??? And yet the only thing I considered naughty were the hotdogs, and then only slightly.

    Am I doin it wrong??

PS - If I drank less than a gallon of water today I'd be shocked, I've got that part covered.

Dr. A says DO not count calories while in the induction phase. So stop worrying! I think you are doing a fine job. Yes the hot dogs are not so great but I've had them a time or two also, sometimes it's all you can have.

The one cup eggs and the 6 peices of bacon is what made the calories so high. It's fine, though, if you needed it so I wouldn't worry about it.

ummm.. you drank your water, your carb count was under 20, and I'm guessing you don't feel hungry... so I'm saying you're ducky!

You will find that your appetite will decrease and so will your calorie intake. Sometimes I even find it is difficult to eat enough calories now that I have hit my stride with this WOE. I confess I didn't have any idea of how many calories I was consuming during induction. Knowing my appetite I probably consumed even more that you did. That is why this is such a good way to lose weight. You are NOT suppose to be hungry.

Keep up with the good work!

Don't worry about calories! Your menu looks great to me, keep up the good work. I'm so jealous that you're able to go to the movies and resist popcorn...I can't so no more movies for me .
