Re: Donna's Doing the HAPPY DANCE

thanks everyone! It feels great to finally be here ! I also upped my excercise recently-- the wintry weather is cold , dark and wet here at the moment so i hired a treadmill and it seems to be helping heaps! My weight loss crusade started when i reached 93 kilos. I was fat and frumpy and felt awful. I lost the first 14 kilos with WW then put 6 kilos back on because i was starving to death! and then i found ATKINS --which has been like a miracle -- finally i can eat AND be SLIM and healthy. Everyday I say a little thankyou to Dr Atkins ( THANKYOU DR ATKINS) for his insight and his bravery to fly in the face of convention and to stick to his beliefs when those around him condemned them .The ADBB has been one of the major factors of success .. it has kept me focused when the going got tough, and made me feel part of a community - so i never felt alone in my quest for health and slimness . The success of others was validation that the atkins way of eating was the right way to be losing weight for me and I enjoy it so much and feel so good that there is not even a little part of me that even wants to go back to the way I used to eat ( which was never excessive and I was not one to binge!)
To anyone who is in the same boat as me ( ie A Very SLOW loser and on all sorts of medications that like to slow things down) I say hang in there and dont worry -- enjoy your food , be creative , add variety , visit the forum everyday for support AND THE WEIGHT LOSS WILL COME WHEN IT IS READY!

CHEERS!( drinking toast with big glass of water !!)

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
