Re: Impact Carbs?
Those are suppose to be carbs that will affect your blood sugar. It would likely be total carbs minus fibre and alcohol sugars (polyols?). Anyway, that's a bit misleading since I've read quite a few posts saying that the alcohol sugars are metabolized and could cause gain or stalls. Everyone is different in that respect. Hope that helped, but I bet someone else will be along with some better information.Highest weight when I found Atkins in 2002: 225

Re: Impact Carbs?
Ya, that's kind of the problem. We always subract fibre because it has no impact at all on blood sugar. The alcohol sugars are the ones that are up for debate. Some people are impacted by them and some people aren't. You would have to try them for yourself and see if they cause you to stall (which they are known to do). They can also cause problems with your stomache in the way of gas and nasty bowel movements. If you're still on Induction you'll want to wait though, as they aren't legal Induction food.Highest weight when I found Atkins in 2002: 225

Re: Impact Carbs?
Hummm... interesting.. Sometimes I head to work and forget to eat in the morning. Instead of eating at work I'll walk over to the grocery store and get either a bar or some sliced turkey (depends on how long the line is).. I usually eat about 1/2 of a bar and put the rest in my purse... My dog loves that, he begs until he gets the other 1/2. I've never had it make me stall as long as I didn't over do.. I'll pay closer attention next time.Life Motto: Know the difference between an inconvenience and a problem.
