Painkillers with sodium in... is it a minimal amount do ya think?

bored of watching the scales go up and this is the only think i can put my finger on that ive took the last few days to make it possible?


if i could just get rid of this headache....

yes they do, and before I was on atkins, I noticed I was gaining weight taking various pain killers for my knee. I tried Viacadin, and a few others. Finally I told my doctor and he said it has been know to have that side effect on some people.

well i take tablets for arthritis almost daily, so that could be slowing me down i guess...

i wonder what i can take to get rid of a headache then, cos nothing is hitting it this last few days and it is certainly not a lack of water!!

Well. a headache? hmm I used to do the old pressure points at the back of the head at the bottom of the skull, both sides for 30 secs. If u do, do this, be near a chair because the first time you do it, you will feel light headed. But the plus side is with in a few minutes those heads will improve and go away. I used to be very popular in the firm I worked at doing this method for people. Damn I should have charged lol.

Not to sound all new-age frou-frou, but have you tried aromatherapy? A few sniffs of peppermint/lavender oil while taking a lie down has helped me. Also, those silky eye mask things filled with lavender flowers--I throw mine in the freezer for 30 mins or so before lying down with it.

No advice, just wanna send a hug, headaches are the worst! Caffeine usually helps mine.

maybe stop drinking the vodka!! that will get rid of the headache!! lol oops sorry you've already done that one!! hehe!!!

I normally just go to bed with all the blinds down and lights out and keep my head under the duvet!! that normally gets rid of it!

You dont think the headache could be something to do with your new glasses do you??? maybe they're too strong!!!

Dont think my boss would appreciate me lying on the desk, lol...

i couldnt sniff lavender, it makes me sneeze!! thanks for your advice though!

Sorry about the headaches--have you added something new to your diet? Sometimes food allergies can cause them.

I hate headaches! I also try not to take anything... the pressure point thing at the base of the neck helps me alot! Also stretching the neck...especially for me pulling chin in and head up like there is a string attached to the top of your head and it's pulling your head up but chin back... stretches back of neck where lots of headaches originate for me... Cold packs, heat packs, possitive thoughts, avoiding annoying people! (that one's hard)
Definately meds can stall your wt loss... but you're doing good... I saw you lost 8lbs on the labor day challenge so far... your rocking girl! Hang in there! Hope your head feels better soon.
