  • ahh itchy feet!

I don't know if this has ANYTHING to do with the WOE, I've been back on atkins for the past week now after months of straying . today i noticed my feet were itchy and now they're even itchier and are rashy! I've never had any kind of foot issue such as fungus or odor or anything so I am wondering if the diet could be triggering something? Have any of you had anything strange like this? I wonder if I've developed an allergy to splenda or something...can't think of anything else different...

are you taking any supplements or vitamins?? When I started taking CLA, I got a nasty rach up both my arms and the front of my legs.

I'd start by cutting out the splenda. It seems to be the easiest place to start.

Because of the rash, I would think food allergy.

Ok, yeah, me too. Don't know if it is the diet either. I use Splenda "on or off" Atkins so I doubt that is what is causing it for me. Didn't occur that it might be this WOL. Might or might not be but I have been using tinactin (xtra strength) and it seems to be easing my symptoms. I wouldn't say I exactly have a "rash" tho.

You know, I've heard that a lot of toxins get secreted through feet. If this WOL is detoxing your sytem of all the junk, that might be the cause.

Hopefully it was just temporary and won't come back!

                Re: ahh itchy feet!

I get this once in a while but usually at night in bed. It wakes me up sometimes and can be either my palms and/or the soles of my feet (no rash with it). When I Googled it I got a lot of hits for menopause and it being related to hormone changes. Now, I'm not suggesting anyone's itchyness is due to menopause, but we could certainly be experiencing hormonal changes with all the other HUGE changes that are going on in our bodies. It's just a thought.

thanks for all your input...i have been having hormonal issues/irregularities as well...that's since before the atkins though...and there's no odor so that makes me think its not fungus...maybe i just need to soak my feet/moisturize lol...the idea of toxins being released makes sense too...
