  • not really a salad person

Hi everyone....I just restarted induction on Fri. I fell of the wagon the end of May and and now am starting again 6 lbs heavier than when I had started the 1st time in March.

I'm really trying to do this by the book this time...last time I ate bars and stuff and wasn't really satisfied with my progress.

NOW for my original question....atkins rules for induction veggies are 2 cups salad veggies and 1 cup other veggies. I really don't love salads, I much rather have cooked veggies.

So is it important that I eat a salad everyday, or can I substitute other veggies instead? (counting carbs, of course)

    Thanks...

theres more than just salad veggies on the salad list!!

    Vegetables
You can have two to three cups per day of:

    radishes
    chives
    lettuce
    romaine lettuce
    cucumber
    moche

    artichoke
    celery root
    pumpkin
    artichoke hearts
    rhubarb
    asparagus
    chard
    sauerkraut

Thanks....for some reason I'm stuck on thinking that a salad has to be lettuce in a bowl with dressing on it!! I like lots of stuff on the "salad" list!

The great thing about this 'diet' is it isnt a salad diet. I usually fry up 8 ounces of hamburger with a cup of mushrooms streamed with the burger and a cup of lettuce, either that or 2 cups of mushrooms, just depends on the day!
