  • Uhhh!!! I'm back in the dorm.

I started Atkins at the dorms, but now I don't know if I could go through nothing but macarels and eggs again. Is roticery chicken good quick meal in small portions of course? Has anayone stalled from it before? I was thinking that I could stretch a whole chicken for a day and a half or so. Any ideas?

I've never tried it, but it's just chicken, right? I would think you wouldn't stall...but I don't know.
If you have a dorm community kitchen--you know, one that is share by the whole dorm hall--you could cook there. Oooor if you have a microwave of your own you can cook stuff in it, but your dorm will get smelly and if you have a roommie that could be a problem!
If you have a meal plan you can try to eat Atkins friendly there. I had a friend who ate burger patties EVERYDAY for lunch...gross..and a some salad too. And he would have the roasted chicken they served or whatever was Atkins friendly.
Can't think of anything else. Good luck

      Hi Hydro !

I eat rotissary chicken from the supermarket deli and dont seem to have a problem with it. sometimes they season the skin of them so if you are worried about the chance that there might be carbs in that just dont eat the skin. I would try to mix up your menu a bit to stop boredom. Boiled eggs , tinned tuna, tinned salmon , cheese etc and of course be sure you get in your veges!!! Are you still doing induction or have you moved into OWL? if you are at the appropriate rung you could add in some nuts too. Its important to mix it up not only to stop you getting bored but to give you a variety of different nutrients too. You look like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!
