Alli combined with Atkins

Has anyone tried taking the new Alli pill in combination with the Atkins? Just wondering I am tired of being stuck. I had to start taking a steroid yesterday due to my surgery and the scale was up 2 pounds this morning

Alli blocks dietary fat absorption. Since Atkins is a high fat diet, taking Alli will probably only enhance the side effects of it.

Don't worry about the 2 pound "gain" from the steroids---it's probably water retention. Just follow your Atkins to the letter, and the fat pounds will come off.

If you want to take Alli, I highly suggest you don't combine it with the high fat of Atkins. According to the drugs maker, if your diet goes over the recommended 30% fat per day (or 15g per meal) the side effect is anal leakage (they recommend new users wear dark pants and Depends ) .

Oooo, I'd agree -- pick one or the other, not both. Alli with Atkins will have you in the bathroom all day long!

Steriods often make people gain water weight... not much you can do about that until you finish them, I don't think.
