I think I'll keep my eye out for a mini crock pot next. Oooh....some dips and stuff like that would be yummy to make for the holidays. Kind of like doing crock pot fodue? Hmmmm...

Okay, crockpots can become very addicting.

Yea, mine was a medium size one and a baby-potty was included This small one is really great, for keeping cheese dips etc warm. Is VERY NICE addition.

Stefanie, if you are afraid of chicken you need a meat thermometer and you can check if it is done w/out killing it! LOL!

A meat thermometer? Cool! Where can I get one, about how much are they, and what temp tells me that my chicken isn't still raw on the inside?

Any grocery store, about $8-$12 for a good one.. They are pre marked for each type of meat.

I you get a thermometer with no labels (such as a digital instant-read model), chicken breasts are done at 170 (F) degrees and thighs at 180 (F) degrees. Make sure you measure from the thickest part of the meat and don't touch the bone (bones are always hotter).

I am going to look for this contraption next time I'm at Walmart or Meijer. If it isn't there, I'll go to Linens N' Things or Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Thanks, ladies!
