  • What About Accidental Eating?

I've been in induction for one week-no cheating but accidently drank a sip of my daughters apple juice. Will that throw me out of induction? Also w/o thinking I ate a taste of a chocolate cupcake to see if it was done baking...not on purpose I swear!

It will make a difference.. you now have sugar in your system..

Just on a guess I'd say just start over.. do induction for two weeks starting from today. The whole point is to reprogram your body.. another week is a small price to pay.

goal: 118-123 Which ever feels better

I dont think you will have much trouble getting back into the groove of things. Drink lots of water to flush the sugars out of your system and stick with the plan and excericse and you will be back in ketosis soon. Another week of induction wouldnt hurt - see how you go!

I would not restart counting your 14 days on induction as you will need to know how much weight you lose in those 2 weeks to be able to work out your degree of resistance to weightloss as in the chart in DANDR.

Just carry on eating to plan, and try to remember what you can and cant eat at present
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

The more you get into the swing of things, the fewer 'accidents' will happen! It's a question of habit, to some extent. Stay cool!
