    Is there any type of vinegar that is acceptable in phase 1?

    Balsamic vinegar, according to the Induction Acceptable Foods list, contains sugar so it's not acceptable. You might want to add "seasoned rice vinegar" to that "contains sugar" category too. It's sometimes called "sushi vinegar" and it contains salt and sugar.

    Otherwise, most vinegars are acceptable.

      MOst vinegars are ok for induction . The exception is Balsamic vinegar which contains sugar.. Its always best to check the labels to see if sugar is an ingredient
