  • Went to see my doctor..

I went to see my doctor to organise some blood work to make sure all is well etc etc and she was so amazed by my weight loss that she said she would recommend atkins to her daughter who is struggling with WW. I suggested that she look up the ADBB for all the info and support she will need

Nice to have a doctor who is Pro atkins when there are so many who are misinformed and against it!

I am glad to hear you have your doctor on your side in your Atkins journey
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Thats great news!! Congratulations on having kudos from your doc and for having an open-minded doctor. I look at it as Doctors are just like us, they don't have time to research everything, so they probably take other doctor's opinions on the program. Since your doctor is seeing first hand how it has impacted your weight, she will probably now take the time to research the program for her daughter. Little by little, as we all show instead of tell them how it works, they will come around.

              Thats great!

I think most do not know what it's all about. It has a process, it's not just about eating protein! It's about eating healthy wholesome foods as you climb the ladder.

Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations! Isn't it wonderful when the medical world is open-minded? She saw the results for herself, so obviously, that is a testimony in and of itself!

Congrats on your progress thus far... Keep it up!

Yes I am very lucky to have a doctor who is pro-atkins! Actually i am very lucky to have my doctor - she is more like a friend to me and treats me as an Equal . She says most women know exactly what is going on with their bodies .. some doctors just treat us patients as uneducated people who know nothing!!!

Can she be replicated and sent to the US? I'm sure we could all use a good doctor like her

I cannot tell you how many times I have told Drs. to READ THE BOOK!!!!!
No different then anyone else, many have preconceived incorrect ideas on Atkins!

My doctor was merely tolerant when I began this program and now is an advocate of Atkins going so far as to ask me to talk to other patients who have had misinformation on Atkins.
