  • I've fallen.....but I'm back up

I had a great start with the first month of atkins, but in the last month it's been hard to reign me in. I've been letting my emotions get out of hand, which in turn, spawns my eating binges. Thankfully, I've kept up with exercising- so I haven't caused too much damage.
    I'm unfortunately restarting induction .

Good job catching yourself before it got out of control. You can do it! Have you tried journaling the emotions that get you off course? If it's a person you could write them a letter venting and burn it. Just to get it out.

Great job. Glad to hear you kept exercising as it not only tones your body and burns calories, but it keeps positive juices flowing even when you are having a bad day. Emotional eating is something we all tend to have trouble with.

The best thing I've found to do is to write it out and identify the triggers that make you want to eat and what you crave when you are having an episode. Take those foods out of your reach and devise a plan for alternative measures of dealing with those emotions. {{Walk, call a friend, journal, dance, read motivational stories & articles, play songs that motivate you, brush your teeth (this helps me with cravings), drink water, or whatever you can think of that would keep you from binging.

**Making a plan now while you are motivated...helps when issues come up and you are vulnerable.

I'm so happy you've jumped back on the wagon and are taking control again. Keep posting and let us help you and cheer you on!
