Hey All,
Fun fact here - when you engage in an exercise that builds any sort of muscle (and pretty much all do - even Pilates builds muscle), you can assume you will experience some water weight gain.
Exercise puts micro tears in the fibers of your muscle. Muscle grows by repairing those tears and adding extra reinforcement to the area. It requires a good deal of water for this process, so the muscle fibers plump up like sponges while this is going on.
It's frustrating to do a good hard workout and the next day weigh more, not less. Keep at it! Ultimately if you keep drinking your water, the weight will come off again, and you will be stronger and leaner from the process.
Cheers,
