Did anyone else see the story about diet myths on the msn.com home page? One of the myths is that butter is bad!!!! Turns out that the saturated fat in butter has a type of fat that actually reduces cancer risk AND helps in the absorption of some vitamins.
Fianally medical researchers are starting to turn the corner and really examine the downside of "low fat"! I wonder how long it will take for the collective understanding of nutrition to catch up with this. "Low fat" = healthy has become the deep rooted assumtion on the part of most Americans.
I still get so angry when I think of the low fat thing that has been pushed so hard for the past 15 years or so. It has actially caused so many people so much physical and emotional pain...
