    Re: Who's Been Thru P-I-S-S ???

I am stuggling with my perception of being stalled for two months now. I started mid-June, and now at almost mid-October (that's 16 weeks) I have lost 31 lbs (and two dress sizes). Thing is, I have had these loooong spaces between losses which make me panicked and depressed, of course. But if I look at my loss over time I have lost the classic 2 lbs/week. So my theory is that my body isn't adjusting, so much, but that early weight loss is the water and the glycogen stores, and that later weight loss tells you what actual fat you have lost.

The other weird thing I have noticed is that I get these dents--sort of collapsed areas in my fat--that show up for days and days before there is any movement on the scale or tape measure. They are cool, but they raise my expectations for weight loss (measured loss, I mean), so then I have several days of disappointment to deal with before any movement on the scale. Of course I can tell you these things, but then not remember them when they are relevant to me!!
