  • Question about Fit Day Website.

Is there a way on FitDay.com to enter a recipe and get the nutritional breakdown? Someone mentioned something like this to me and I was intrigued and signed up but was not able to find that. Or did they just figure the stuff out on their own? HELLLLLLPPPPP!!!

yes you enter every ingredient in the correct measurements and add each one to an "empty" slate (go to the next day) then save the counts. you can either make a new entry with the totals or add them everytime.... is that what you are asking?

I'm not sure how familiar you are with it yet, but go to foods, then choose add new (the last of the drop down options). You can also just search for say eggs, then add it in the right measurements, if you can't find something not already in there, then you make it custom. I'm confusing myself now. turning the reins over....

hmmm. I'll play around with it. Hopefully I can figure it out. It doesn't look like anyone else is responding. I just think it would be a great tool to use when i'm creating recipes!

This may sound complicated, but isn't!

Go to the calander and browse back to a day sometime in the past, before you started using Fitday (I use August/July). Enter all the recipe ingredients on that day's food page.

Now open Fitday in a new window, go to to-day and click to enter a new custom food. I call the new food something like "Aug 4 Mushroom Soup" or "July 23 Meatballs" - whatever date I entered the recipe in. You can then copy the info from the first window into the custom food section.

It also means your recipe ingredients are stored for future reference with a date in the name - I also paste the full recipe into the journal page for the same day.
