  • Is 12 loss for one month ok?!?!?

    Hi everyone. I started this WOL Sept 14 th and today is one month and I lost 12 bls and 10 & 1/2 inches. My question is, is that normal?? I was hoping to lose a few more lbs by this date but 12 lbs is not bad is it? I drink 96 ounces a day of water. I am doing toning exercises because I am disabled with Rheumatoid Arthritis and can't do much exercising except at the arthritis pool doing water arobics for patients with Arthritis. But the pool is 20 miles away and gas is still high...Anyhow I am trying to do what i can, but i just wish i could do like dancersize or something. I hope to be able to go back to the pool soon. But would that have a lot to do with the weight loss right??? In the water I can even walk without my cane, I love it!! But untill then will the weight loss be small amounts?? Just wondering?? Cheryl

    12 lbs and 10 1/2 inches is WONDERFUL!!! you should be Very Proud of yourself!!!

        You can expect to lose 10-15% of the total weight you want to lose during induction.
        so SW 249 Amount to lose is 119. 10% of that is 11.9 so I'd say you are right on target!

          Thats a great loss. You are doing wonderful.

          I didn't see as big of a loss as I was hoping to but now I'm trying not to just judge myself on scale numbers and inches alone. I've been trying to include my accomplishments as well. I've made so many positive changes in the past three weeks. Ones like drinking water instead of coke, eating veggie snacks instead of candy. Those are big changes for me and if water retention, humidity, bloating, stalls, etc keep those numbers from going down as fast as I want... well, I've got other things to be proud of too. It'll help keep my motivation where it needs to be. Maybe if you made a mental list of all the positive things you are doing and changes you have made might help you as well.

              Your all right and i know that deep inside i guess I just got stuck on the numbers. I switched to water, which is all i drink now and added the exercising/toning. Plus ya know I feel a WHOLE LOT better!! And my clothes are loser too.. So i guess i was just whinning..:-( ...lol.. sorry guys...I promise to be better next month!!
