Re: Why am I not losing anymore??
I hit a plateau a few weeks ago, when my weight loss stalled at about 57-58 pounds off. I was a bit discouraged, but I knew I was eating the way I have been since I started in April, so I just gave my body time.
About 10 days ago, one evening, I jumped on the scales, knowing that I would weigh heavier than waiting until morning. Imagine my surprise when I was under 330! At night! I had finally broken through the plateau, just by sticking to my routine and believing that eventually it would happen. Of course, the next morning my true weight was even less!
Here are a few pointers that have helped me get over a plateau in the past:
Use your tape measure to see results. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so as you lose the fat and replace it with muscle (if you are exercising regularly) your weight may stay the same, but the lost inches will show up on the tape measure.
Increase your exercise, either by adding minutes (duration) or by working harder (intensity). Just that little boost may get you over a plateau.
I also agree with those who say to keep well hydrated. I would say a minimum of 48 oz (6-8 oz. glasses) per day up to as much as your kidneys can tolerate. 16 oz. of water with each of three meals a day is fairly easy to do.
Above all, don't let a plateau mess with your head! Check your ketosis on a keto-stik and adjust your carbs accordingly. Then, have faith that this too shall pass and you will be on your way downward soon again!
Weight on a scale is just a number. Don't let it dictate your life!

I have been thinking I should go back in to induction and see if that would help. Is it possible to eat to much fat and protien in a day and not lose weight? I keep looking at your pictures and telling myself that will be me someday, I am just finding that harder and harder to believe.
