  • Are there any Mac users here?

Two things... first, I am a software developer. Second, I switched to Mac two years ago and will never touch a PC again. My business partner and I are developing software for Mac and I'm hellbent on building the world's best (Atkins-influenced) diet, fitness and recipe software on the planet. Everything you need and want in one application.

If there are any Mac users here, please let me know. We're collaborative designers which means, we always design and build based on the knowledge, requirements and suggestions of the community for which its designed.

We won't start this software for a while yet, but like I said, I'm hellbent on getting it going.

Here's basically what I'm doing to average a 2-4lb loss each week:
    • Free Weights M, W, F 40 minutes
    • Cardio T, Th, S 90 minutes
    • Average Intake=1300-1400 Average Expenditure=3200
    • Low sodium (attempting - it's really tricky!)
    • Grazing Approach
    • Use of vitamins and whey protein isolate

I am not a Mac owner yet but I will be in January. I cant wait! I hate PC's, but it has been a struggle convincing my husband that Macs are that much better. He has finally caved so after the first of the year I will be a proud owner of one.

Oh I used to be a Windows zealot myself and I'd say to my Mac buddy, "There's no software for it!" He just smiled at me - I wish he would have at least told me I was full of <bleep> and shown me. It wasn't until I had absolutely had it with the virus and spyware crap that I finally just did it.

      :-O

My god what wonderful change to my entire life! Believe it or not, I credit this change for my ability to quit my corporate life as a director of software development and start my own business, which now pays the mortgage AND supports my expensive toy habits hee hee. Mac unleashed my creativity. It's been a blast ever since, but I'm a geek - shouldn't be odd to hear that from me.

Tell your hubby that he can always run windows on the Mac. That's how I run the FitDay software. I haven't found anything better.

Keep tabs with me and when I get this going, I'll include you in the development process if you would like.
